So this is what it has come to, I used to see parents with their kids on a leash and thought how sad that kid must feel being stuck on a leash... now it has all come back to haunt me. I have had a few experiences in life were I have lost a kid for a second while in a department store, of course they are hiding in the clothes rack, there is still that feeling of what if they aren't there or worse what if someone took them???? The girls always came out after I threatened to leave if they didn't show their sweet faces and behave (edited version). Truman, completely different story, he sees an opportunity and runs. I make him sit in the stroller or cart no matter were we are at, he used to be pretty content with that. He doesn't really know much about life outside of the four wheels. Until the other day at Gardner Village, no choice, all kids need to run there. Truman is going to be 2 now and he really wants to be as big as the sisters and cousins. He hates watching things pass him by while sitting idle in the stroller. I try to be the kind of parent who encourages new experiences in my childrens lives, with 3 kids now it is very easy to loose track of at least one possibly two at any given time of the day. I am not very good at sitting at home, so the only answer I have found is to protect the little ones while out from all the craziness in the world... so I have bought a leash for my little man!

Where did you get it? I want one for Hannah. She is a wild woman and refuses to stay in a cart or stroller. Let me know how it goes. Good Luck! ~emily
I'm with you on the leash thing but if it keeps my special little Truman safe then I'm all for it. How's he liking it?
We are a leash family. Love it!
Oh I know all about my foot in my mouth! Sleeping in the bed, schedule, pretty much being a mom! Oh and your kids hide in the clothes wracks too! I get so anxious, I have concluded to try to never go shopping with my kids!
Too funny!! I have to say I always make fun of people that have thier kids on a leash and you won't be an exeption if I see ya! The funniest one yet is the kid who was on his leash at church and he somehow got out of it during sacrament, his mom and dad could not catch him for like five minutes. I thought Greg and I would get kicked out for laughing!
Not a bad idea...I will be needing 3, one for each of my little ladies. This way I can kept them home & away from stranger danger aka "sick pre-teen & teenager boys." I can only hope that they make them in my girls sizes. Now that I think about it my girls are little like us, of course they make them in their size. We love being little!!!Ü
