Grayce's 7th Birthday

I can not believe how quickly time flies when you are having fun. My first born, my baby girl , my best little friend is now 7 years old. I remember the day she was born like it was yesterday, in fact it feels like it was yesterday. I love that I experience all my first's as a mother with her, she makes things so easy because of her independence and desire to always do her best. She is the best big sister ever, I promise hands down there are no others like her out there.

Her birthday started early on Friday, her grandma picked her up from school and took her to lunch at Chopsticks. The girl loves Chinese, she will eat and eat till she is sick and it hurts to move (it is quit funny to watch her do this every time, never fails at any Chinese restaurant). Then Grandma and Grayce were off to buy her beautiful dress, and this is the part she raves about, trying on all the pretty dress's and then picking the dress herself. She also got a hair clip, and a ring with her birthstone. she loves spending time with her Grandma alone and this was one that will go down in the books. Thanks for taking her out JoAnn.

On her birthday the fun started at Sill's for a scone. Then when we got home we started the dreaded clean your room event. Just as we finished her Papa Bear called to take her to lunch..... what a princess. So off she went to lunch with him and toy shopping. She again got spoiled and I can now say that I have watched High School Musical enough for everyone. She always has fun going on special outings with her Papa Bear. Later that evening, her Uncle Matt who makes the best Ribs cooked her up her favorite meal of his.... Grayce at the end of the night said "this is the best birthday ever!!" Thanks for all the love and Birthday wishes this year. It is true that not only has she touched my heart, but she has touched many hearts out there.

Grayce and Sophia frosted her cake by themselves (Sophia supervised).

Present time, she was very happy with all her presents. This year we kept the birthday low key and celebrated her birthday with her little cousin on the Adams side with Lincoln, he turned one two days before her birthday.

Grayce going to school, in her new jacket and....

Her Birthday Girl shirt.

Her class celebrated her birthday as well, it was so cute they all made a chain of compliments about Grayce and sung Happy Birthday to her. She has the sweetest teacher, and the funniest friends in her 1st grade class.

Grayce you are my angel!

Grayce is so darling. Your girls really are beautiful, not surprising coming from you cute Barbie. I love your cake idea, just having the girls do the decorating. Sometimes I think we (as mom's) go crazy trying to make cakes perfect. Great idea. I love your pictures always! I can't believe Grace is 7 years old. Hope all is well!

Grayce is so beautiful - all your kids are, but then again, so are their parents. What a beautiful post Barb. I feel the same way as a mother and my kids are now all out of the house. Aubrie, my first, continues to amaze me and be filled with strength. First kids are a gift! But then, they all are. Love you guys, Cind
